Elite was founded by Terry Sneed PT, DPT, ATC, CEAS to provide sophisticated and personalized services to residents of the DC region. The Elite practice has grown to be a recognized leader in post-surgical and performing and sports focused therapies as well as tailored wellness interventions.
Terry Sneed, PT, DPT, ATC, CEAS
Owner and Practice Leader
Owner and practice leader, Terry has over 20 year of experience in the field of physical therapy. She is known among orthopedic surgeons, the dance and arts community, and by area coaches as an expert in surgical and injury treatment and rehab. She was the touring physical therapist with the Broadway Production of “Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk” and provided backstage physical therapy with The Miami City Ballet for five years. Terry has treated performing artists from a variety of dance companies, schools and Broadway Productions such as “Hadestown”, The Bolshoi Ballet, Joe Goode Dance Company, “Fosse", "Hot Feet", The Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington School of Ballet, and Duke Ellington School for the Performing Arts. As an Athletic Trainer Terry traveled with and managed sports injuries for multiple collegiate sports teams.

Tarah Steinbach, PT, DPT
Tarah is a newly relocated physical therapist from California. She has a passion for working with sports outpatient orthopedics and has a background in many types of setting such as outpatient, acute care, subacute care, aquatic therapy, backstage broadway performing arts, and skilled nursing. She participated in multiple collegiate sports and attended graduate studies at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and golfing with her dog.

Stephanie Shimoda, PT, DPT
Stephanie has recently returned to the DC area after working in travel PT, where she had the opportunity to treat patients with diverse backgrounds and conditions. She completed her DPT at the University of Southern California, where she fine tuned manual techniques and exercises for individual patient needs. Her special interests include general orthopedics, treatment of performing artists, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and the vestibular system. Outside of work, she enjoys aerial arts, hiking, and traveling.

Akrivi (Tina) Craft, PTA
Tina’s specialty is outpatient orthopedics. She uses a combination of manual manipulation and exercise therapy to help her patients increase their mobility and reduce pain. Tina applies the range of equipment at Elite’s gym such as Pilates, balance balls, etc. with a tailored at-home regimen to help clients swiftly return to their daily activities. Tina believes in a whole-body approach to patient treatment and rehab and supports her clients as they progress to a more active life.
